Tap any evidence card to cycle through three states. none means you have not checked yet. confirmed means you found it — the ghost grid eliminates all ghosts that lack this evidence. ruled out means it is definitely not present — eliminates ghosts that require it. The ghost count in the header updates instantly.
Tap any accordion category to expand it. Check a behavior clue when you observe it during your investigation. The ghost grid eliminates all ghosts that cannot exhibit that behavior. Clues tagged soft clue in pink are weaker indicators — stack them with other clues for best results. Use the search bar above to find a specific clue fast.
Every ghost card shows its evidence tags and a Play button for footstep audio. Eliminated ghosts fade out with the reason shown below the name. Possible ghosts glow with a purple top bar. The smart coaching box above the behavior search updates automatically — it tells you the best next test based on your exact remaining ghosts.
Smudge 90s — start when you smudge the ghost during a hunt. Most ghosts cannot hunt for 90 seconds. 3min — use for Spirit only, which waits 180 seconds. Demon smudge only gives 60 seconds. Hunt Cooldown 25s — start when a hunt ends. The ghost cannot hunt again for 25 seconds (20s for Demon). You can also say timer commands with voice control.
Tap Enter Building when you first go inside. The tracker estimates your sanity based on time, difficulty, and whether lights are on or off. Toggle lights on or off as they change. Tap pill buttons when you take sanity medication. Ghost Hit subtracts 10% for ghost event collisions. Moroi Curse doubles drain if you got cursed through Spirit Box. The warning text shows which of your remaining ghosts can now hunt.
During a hunt listen to the ghost footsteps and tap the TAP button in rhythm with them. After 4 or more taps it calculates the speed in m/s and shows which of your remaining possible ghosts match that speed. It auto-resets after 3 seconds of no tapping. More taps means higher confidence. The Play buttons on each ghost card and speed clue let you hear what each speed sounds like as a reference.
Three tabs at the top: Cursed Possessions shows every item spawn location per map with a description. Breaker Boxes lists all possible fuse box spawn locations per map. Bones shows bone spawn locations. Search by map name like tanglewood or prison, or by item name like music box or ouija. The Ouija Board and Monkey Paw phrase guide is below the map search.
The Bestiary is a complete ghost guide for all 27 ghosts. Each card shows the ghost difficulty rating, evidence, hunt threshold, speed, and four sections — Overview, How to identify, Survival guide, and Common mistake. Cards are color coded by danger level. Red is high risk, amber is medium, green is low. Search by ghost name to find one fast. Access it from the Bestiary button on desktop or the Guide tab on mobile.
Tap Join/Create in the Squad Sync section at the top of the left panel (desktop) or the Evidence tab (mobile). One player taps Create New Room and gets a 4 digit code. Share that code with your squad. Everyone else taps Join Room and enters the code. Now every evidence tap and behavior check syncs instantly across all devices in real time. No account needed. The room expires when everyone leaves.
Enable Voice Control in Settings then tap the microphone button in the header — it turns red when listening. Say natural commands like "confirm EMF", "rule out orbs", "no freezing", "smudge", "enter building", "took pill", "ghost hit me", "open maps", or "reset". A feedback bubble shows what it heard. Works best in Chrome or Safari. Voice control only works in English for now.
Creating a free account lets you save your settings and ghost counter history to the cloud. Sign up with just an email and password — tap Sign In in the header. Once signed in your color theme and feature toggles save automatically whenever you change them and load on any device you sign into. Your background photo saves to each device separately due to file size.
